Speedy deletion of Archelaus II of Macedon and your subsequent removals in other articles
[edit]Hi Buster and please slow the hell down with the removals of that article from other pages.
Look, I know pretty much nothing about the subject matter itself, but what I do know that you are going to find yourself in a whole heap of strife if you continue on with your current editing.
Let's go back to your (malformed but whatevs) speedy deletion request.
- I have found no evidence, either in primary or secondary sources, that this 'Archelaus II' ever existed.
- He certainly was never king of Macedonia (see Blackwell's ' A Companion to Ancient Macedonia', Brill's 'Companion to Ancient Macedon Studies', or Brill's 'Chronologies of the Ancient World')
Think back to High School English classes. First principle: you write your audience - do they know what you are writing about? Next thing: are you "writing to inform", or are you "writing to persuade". Here you are "writing to persuade", but apparently without considering you audience beforehand.
- I assume that "Blackwell's" refers to that publisher of scholarly books
- I assume that "Brill's" refers to that publisher of scholarly books
(Yeah, I know that. But I'm not your target audience.)
Short version: please slow down, and cite references from reliable sources.
